John Mayall was an English blues singer, guitarist, organist and songwriter, whose musical career spanned over fifty years. He brought his musical talents to a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. Mayall began his acting career in action flicks like "Sunset Strip" (1984) with Tom Eplin. He also appeared in the TV movie "Baja Oklahoma" (HBO, 1987-88).

In the nineties and the 2010s, Mayall's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like "Wild America" (1997), the crime drama "City by the Sea" (2002) with Robert De Niro and "The Ballad of Jack and Rose" (2005). His work was also in the dramatic period piece "The Education of Charlie Banks" (2009) with Jesse Eisenberg. Mayall's music was most recently featured in the crime thriller "Legend" (2015) with Tom Hardy.
