John McArdle

John McArdle is an English actor. He is most notable for playing Billy Corkhill in the soap opera Brookside, with many other smaller appearances in other soaps and dramas.

He also appeared in a number of television specials, including "Gallowglass" (PBS, 1995-96) and "Prime Suspect 5: Errors of Judgement" (PBS, 1996-97). He also acted in various film roles at the time, appearing in the Bernard Hill dramatic adaptation "Skallagrigg" (1994).

His film career continued throughout the nineties and the early 2000s in productions like the dramatic comedy "There's Only One Jimmy Grimble" (2000) with Robert Carlyle. He also appeared in the TV special "The Cazalets" (PBS, 2001-02). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Bambino Mio" (BBC, 2001-02). Most recently, McArdle acted in "Love Tomorrow" (2013).
