Johnny Desmond (1919–1985) was an American pop singer and entertainer celebrated for his smooth baritone voice and charismatic stage presence. Born Giovanni Alfredo De Simone in Detroit, Michigan, he began his career as a radio singer before joining the Glenn Miller Army Air Force Band during World War II, where he gained widespread recognition.

Post-war, Desmond found success as a solo artist, recording numerous hits in the 1940s and 1950s, including "C'est Si Bon" and "Play Me Hearts and Flowers." He also made a name for himself on television, Broadway, and in films, becoming a versatile performer beloved by audiences across America.
