From the very beginning of her career, Madeleine Mantock was the rare breed of actor who never seemed to be wanting for work. Her very first role was a recurring part on the popular drama series "Casualty" (BBC One 1986-). Afterward, she bounced between starring positions in television series and spotlighted supporting parts in movies, such as "Edge of Tomorrow" (2014). Mantock's joining of the central cast of "Into the Badlands" (AMC 2015-) proved that she was the kind of talent that the industry couldn't bare to let go to waste.
Madeleine Mantock was born in 1990 in the United Kingdom. She showcased great acting chops from a young age, earning a major recurring role on the British medical drama series "Casualty" (BBC One 1986-) right off the bat. Her yearlong tenure on the program led to a starring position on the American incarnation of the sci-fi series "The Tomorrow People" (2013-14), on which she played mortal Astrid Finch. The latter series didn't last long, but Mantock managed to find success elsewhere. She nabbed a role in the Tom Cruise-led sci-fi movie "Edge of Tomorrow" (2014), in which she played Julie, an experienced soldier who is unkind to Cruise's newbie character. Shortly afterward, Mantock joined the main cast of the fantastical period drama series "Into the Badlands" (AMC 2015-).
