A prolific actor, Malcolm Goodwin made a name for himself in dramatic film. He also appeared in the TV movie "Color of Justice" (Showtime, 1997-98). He also landed roles in various films, such as the Denzel Washington hit crime drama "American Gangster" (2007) and "Backseat" (2008). He then appeared in "Leatherheads" (2008), the Hugh Jackman thriller "Deception" (2008) and the comedic drama "The Longshots" (2008) with Ice Cube.

Goodwin also appeared in the comedy "Crazy on the Outside" (2010) with Tim Allen, "The American Dream" (2012) and the comedy "A True Story" (2013) with Katrina Bowden. He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Elementary" (CBS, 2012-).
