Malcolm Groome is an American actor best known for portraying Dr. Patrick Ryan on the ABC daytime soap opera "Ryan’s Hope." He played the role at various points from 1975 until the early 1980s.

During the early stages of his acting career, Groome worked in films like "Getting Together" (1976). In the eighties and the nineties, Groome devoted his time to various credits, such as "A Matter of Time" (ABC, 1980-81), "I'm Dancing As Fast As I Can" (1982) and "Another Midnight Run" (1993-94).

Groome had a number of different projects under his belt in the nineties and the early 2000s, including "The Spitfire Grill" (1996), "Breaking Up" with Russell Crowe (1997) and "The Opposite of Sex" (1998) starring Christina Ricci. His credits also expanded to "The Cooler" (2003) and "Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector" (2006).
