A writer and producer, Matt Selman has written several episodes of "The Simpsons" and is one of the show's executive producers. After several years pitching spec scripts for TV shows, he got a break co-writing an episode of "Seinfeld" in 1996, eventually serving as script consultant for the show.

A year later he began writing for the hit animated program "The Simpsons." He has written several episodes of the show, one of which -- "The Dad Who Knew Too Little" -- won a Writer's Guild of America Award. Selman also became executive producer on the show and has contributed to other elements of the "Simpsons" franchise.

He co-wrote the 2007 film adaptation "The Simpsons Movie" and the video games "The Simpsons Road Rage," "The Simpsons Hit and Run," and "The Simpsons Game." Selman also writes a technology blog for Time.com and was chosen by Ricky Gervais to write the screenplay adaptation for "Flanimals."

He has won several Emmy Awards along with his producing partners for "The Simpsons."
