Meera Simhan is an actress who worked in television most of her Hollywood career. Simhan's acting career began with roles on several shows, including "NYPD Blue" (1993-2005), "ER" (NBC, 1994-2009) and "The Practice" (ABC, 1997-2004). She also appeared in "Gideon's Crossing" (2000-01), "The District" (CBS, 2000-04) and "MDs" (ABC, 2002). She continued to work steadily in television throughout the early 2000s, appearing on "Cold Case" (CBS, 2003-2010).

In the early 2000s, she acted in the Alyson Hannigan romantic comedy "Date Movie" (2006) and the Robert Downey Jr. hit action film "Iron Man" (2008).
