Growing up in Chicago, Michael Vlamis started goofing around in his teenage years and it lead to a variety of internet shorts that started to get him noticed in the comedy scene. He appeared on Funny or Die shorts and in commercials. In 2013, he got his first TV guest appearance in an episode of "New Girl" (Fox 2011-18), where he appeared in a scene with Zooey Deschanel. After that, his short "Meme! True Hollywood Story" (2016) won the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival.
The success of that project led to his work on the Snapchat for "Scream Queens" (Fox 2015-2017) as well as a role on the digital series "Simi Valley" (2018- ). Vlamis caught his network big break finally as he was cast as one of the leads, coincidentally named Michael, in the new take on the Roswell High books, "Roswell, New Mexico" (The CW 2019- ). His first produced film "5 Years Apart" (2019) came out the same year.
