Oliver "Olly" Rix graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, and went on to perform across the stage and screen. After touring with the Royal Shakespeare Company for productions of King Richard the Second and The History of Cardenio, Rix made his television debut on mystery miniseries "Death Comes to Pemberley" (BBC One 2013). The role predated additional appearances on British television, including a one-off part on "Midsomer Murders" (ITV 1997) and a recurring gig on "The Musketeers" (BBC One 2014-).
Rix's first substantial role came with the drama "WPC 56" (BBC One 2013-15), throughout the third and final season of which he portrayed Detective Inspector Harry Sawyer. Next, Rix earned both his first starring role and his debut on American television; he joined the series "Of Kings and Prophets" (ABC 2016-), playing the Biblical King David in his days prior to reigning over Israel. However, the series was canceled after the broadcast of only two episodes.
