American journalist Pamela Brown was born on November 29, 1983 in Lexington, Kentucky. She was raised in Lexington and went to college at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While she obtained a degree in broadcast journalism she gained experience as a reporter for the university's Carolina Week.
Brown's career began in Washington D.C. with ABC7/WJLA-TV and NewsChannel8. In 2013 she was hired by CNN as a national correspondent. She became a justice correspondent in 2014 and then a senior White House correspondent in 2018. In 2021 she was elevated to the position of anchor, hosting the show "CNN Newsroom" (CNN, 2006- ) on the weekends. Brown earned her own weekday show on CNN in 2023 titled "The Bulletin with Pamela Brown" (CNN, 2023- ).
