A charismatic actor, Percy Daggs III proved an enormously appealing, easygoing screen presence. Born July 20, 1982 in Long Beach, CA, Percy Daggs III broke into show business with a series of bit parts on such series as "Any Day Now" (Lifetime, 1998-2002), "Freaks and Geeks" (NBC, 1999-2000) and "The Amanda Show" (Nickelodeon, 1999-2002). He worked his way up to more substantial guest spots on "NYPD Blue" (ABC, 1993-2005) and "Boston Public" (Fox, 2000-04) before achieving fame on the cult favorite "Veronica Mars" (UPN, 2004-06; The CW, 2006-07). As the charming, kindhearted Guy Friday to Kristen Bell's titular teen detective, Daggs delighted audiences and his dorky-but-cool character added greatly to the heart of the series. So popular was Daggs and his work that he was nominated for a TV - Choice Sidekick Teen Choice Award. After the acclaimed but low-rated show was canceled, the actor worked only sporadically, landing small roles on such TV series as "In Plain Sight" (USA Network, 2008-2012) and "Southland" (NBC, 2009; TNT, 2010-13). In 2013, fans rejoiced over a potential Diggs and Bell big screen reunion when the long-desired "Veronica Mars" feature film was greenlit thanks to a successful Kickstarter.com campaign, wherein fans raised money online to cover the film's budget.
