Many first became familiar with Peyton Elizabeth Lee when she began starring on the Disney Channel series "Andi Mack" (Disney, 2017-) in 2017. Born in New York in 2004, Lee's mother Jennifer was a psychologist while her father, Andrew Tinpo Lee, was an actor. Being exposed to the world of film and TV production even before she could walk gave Lee a unique insight into the world of entertainment, as well as a drive to be a part of it. Lee's family eventually relocated to Los Angeles and she began taking classes in acting, music, and dance, even becoming the youngest child student ever accepted into Playhouse West.
Lee's parents eventually allowed her enter the realm of professional acting, and she soon landed appearances in commercials. Even more impressively, Lee made her TV series debut in 2015 when, at the age of 11, she landed a supporting role on an episode of the drama "Scandal" (ABC, 2012-). The following year, Lee landed another TV role, this time appearing in a three-episode arc on the critically acclaimed series "Shameless" (Showtime, 2011-). Then in 2017, Lee landed the title role on the family-centric comedy-drama "Andi Mack."
