Richard B. Shull appeared in such films as the comedy "B.S., I Love You" (1970) with Peter Kastner, the crime feature "The Anderson Tapes" (1971) with Sean Connery and "Klute" (1971). He also appeared in "Hail" (1972), the Strother Martin comedy "Ssssssss" (1973) and "Hail to the Chief" (1973). His film career continued throughout the seventies in productions like "The Fortune" (1975) with Jack Nicholson, "The Big Bus" (1976) with Joseph Bologna and "The Pack" (1977) with Joe Don Baker. He also appeared in the drama "Dreamer" (1978) with Tim Matheson.

Toward the end of his career, he continued to act in the comedy "Spring Break" (1983) with David Knell, "Unfaithfully Yours" (1984) and the Tom Hanks fantastical comedy "Splash" (1984). He also appeared in the Anne Bancroft comedy "Garbo Talks" (1984) and the fantasy romance "Tune in Tomorrow..." (1990) with Barbara Hershey. Shull was most recently credited in the Michael Rispoli period drama "Two Family House" (2000). Shull was married to Deborah Thomas Shull. Shull passed away in October 1999 at the age of 70.
