Chinese-American writer, comedian and actor Sabrina Wu was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to parents who immigrated from China. Their interest in comedy began during their teenage years and from then on Wu would start to perform in high school talent shows. They went on to become co-president of the Harvard College Stand-up Society and intern in "The Daily Show" (Comedy Central, 1996- ). Wu's first screenwriting jobs included the series "Doogie Kameāloha, M.D." (Disney+, 2021-22), and "Verified Stand-Up" (Netflix, 2023). As a performer, Wu appeared in shows such as "Abbott Elementary" (ABC, 2021- ) and the movie "Joy Ride" (2023).
