Sam Adegoke is a Nigerian actor who broke out in the United States in 2017 when he was cast in the reboot of the popular 80s soap opera "Dynasty" (The CW, 2017- ). Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Adegoke always dreamt of becoming an actor. However, he knew that if his dream was ever to become a reality, he'd have to move to America.
With that mindset firmly in place, Adegoke relocated to sunny Los Angeles in the early 2010s, where he immediately began pursuing acting. He got his start by appearing in a couple of short films in 2014 - I'm Good" (2014) and "Find Your Instrument" (2014) - which gave Adegoke his first real brush with acting in front of a camera. The following year Adegoke got his first major break when he beat out a field of 7,000 applicants to win the 2015 ABC Discovers Digital Talent Competition.
The award came with a one-year, $25,000 talent deal with ABC, which also nabbed Adegoke a guest spot on the series "Wicked City" (ABC, 2015). From there, Adegoke's screen acting career continued to rise. In 2016 he landed a recurring role on "Murder in the First" (TNT, 2014-16), and the following year appeared in six episodes of the popular series "Switched at Birth" (ABC Family, 2011-17).
In just two years time, Adegoke had risen from relative obscurity to become a working in Hollywood. But his success was only just beginning. In 2017 it was announced that Adegoke was cast in The CW reboot of "Dynasty." The series, which was based on the popular 80s primetime soap opera, premiered on the network in October of 2017.
