Actress Sami Gayle rose to fame as aspiring cop Nicky Reagan-Boyle in police procedural "Blue Bloods" (CBS, 2010-) before landing big-screen roles in ensemble drama "Detachment" (2011), Nicolas Cage thriller "Stolen" (2012) and fantasy satire "Vampire Academy" (2014).

Born in Florida in 1996 to an attorney father and businesswoman mother who would later become her manager, Gayle spent her early career in the theater world, first treading the boards as Baby June in the off-Broadway production of "Gypsy" starring Patti LuPone.

Gayle made her television debut in 2009 with a three-episode stint as beauty pageant brat Hayden Lawson in daytime soap opera "As The World Turns" (CBS, 1956-2010), and a year later landed her first major recurring role as Erin's curious daughter Nicky Reagan-Boyle in hit crime drama "Blue Bloods" (CBS, 2010-).

During her early years on the show, Gayle also guested as a musical prodigy on medical drama "Royal Pains" (USA Network, 2009-) and made her film debut as Erica, a runaway teenage hooker who forms an unlikely bond with Adrien Brody's emotionally-distant substitute teacher in public education expose "Detachment" (2011).

Gayle continued to balance her regular TV gig with a burgeoning movie career, playing Nicolas Cage's kidnapped daughter Alison in thriller "Stolen" (2012), appearing opposite Robin Wright in French-Israeli live-action/animation fantasy "The Congress" (2013) and taking on the role of Hailee Steinfeld's deceptive best friend in indie drama "Hateship Loveship" (2013).

After adding to her filmography with the small part of a refugee in Darren Aronofsky's biblical epic "Noah" (2014), Gayle then starred as scheming teenager Mia Rinaldi in the poorly-received high school horror "Vampire Academy" (2014).
