American dermatologist, YouTuber and personality Sandra Lee, best known as Dr. Pimple Popper, was born in Queens, New York, to a Singaporean father and a Malaysian mother. She grew up in California and went on to study dermatology in medical school, graduating in 1998. A member of the American Academy of Dermatology, she started making videos of skin extractions for YouTube in 2010, but her content only gained true traction in 2015.
She released her own brand of skin care products in 2017 and went on to star in her own show, "Dr. Pimple Popper" (TLC, 2018- ).
