Somehow, the modestly rated NBC comedy "Chuck" survived multiple near-cancellations during its first few years on the air, making it to a fourth season in the fall of 2010. As part of the show's ensemble, Scott Krinsky has enjoyed his biggest success as an actor in the role of Jeff Barnes, friend to the title character, played by Zachary Levi. It's another triumph for the stand-up comic, who began his climb up the TV ladder with a five-episode arc on the drama "The O.C.."
Next to starring in your own sitcom, the best a stand-up like Krinsky can hope for is the kind of role he has landed on "Chuck." Another advantage is that as a sitcom that airs during the now well-entrenched Internet era, the program has offered Krinsky a variety of online extras designed to entice the show's Internet fans and keep them interested. These include a series of shorts, "Buy More," named after the retail store where "Chuck" is set, as well as some expansions of the back stories involving Krinsky's character.
