American actor Yasmine Al-Bustami was born in Abu Dhabi and raised in Duncanville, Texas. After graduating with a degree in finance she moved to Chicago to pursue acting. She earned her first recurring role as the villain Monique Deveraux in season 1 of "The Originals" (The CW, 2013-18).

Continuing to get steady work in guest spots, she had a two-episode role in "The Inspectors" (CBS, 2015-19). In 2019 she first appeared in the role of Ramah in season one of "The Chosen" (Angel Studios, 2019- ). She was then promoted to be a main cast member starting in season 2. In 2021 Al-Bustami was cast in her largest role yet as Lucy Tara in the main cast of "NCIS: Hawaiʻi" (CBS, 2021-24).
